  1. 3cx Assistant and Phone Provisioning URL Always use IP

It still doesn't really solve the problem though... the system should have a setting to set which to use since some people like us host our PBX remotely from our offices.
  2. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

Fixed.. thank you very much. Even though I had changed the SIP port on the PBX to 5070 as well as using that as the port in the soft-phone it looks like this was the problem. I can't remember why we changed it now, the SIP Port setting came over from an older install. Changed it to 5060 and...

  4. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

My home router does have VOIP capability as it is a BT Home Hub, however there is no VOIP capability on the office router. Any ideas what might be causing the packets to drop between the office and the pbx?
  5. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

Ok, some further information now... Pinging the PBX's public IP works fine. Pinging the public IP with ":5070", ":5060" or ":8555" (our tunnel port) fails with a "could not find host" error. When connecting from our office IP without the tunnel I can connect fine, make calls via pbx, receive...
  6. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

I have DMZ'd my local machine on our office outer and the servers hardware firewall is configured to allow all ports from our office WAN IP. Windows firewall is completely turned off on both ends. I ran the firewall checker on the PBX and it passes all tests. Any other ideas?
  7. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

I just tried that and still the same problem. As a point of note there appears to be no log entries created on the 3CX management console when trying to connect via the tunnel. I can get connected without the tunnel but then internal extension -> extension calls have no audio and external...
  8. Getting the tunnel working - help needed

Here is the situation so far... When trying to connect via a tunnel on the 3CX phone I get... Translation file OK Attempting to connect <IP REMOVED>:5070 Tunnel got as listening port 65412 Tunnel got as local SIP port 65413 Phone got as local port 65414 Integration with 3CX Call Assistant is...

Does anyone have any other ideas :?: I'm completely stumped
  10. Strange connection & sound issues

Our server has two internal IP addresses... one is 192.X.X.X the other is 10.X.X.X (masked for security) I've tried both... how it is currently uses the 192 address.. if I switch it to the 10 address I get the same. Even using 127.0.0.1 gives the same problem. Any more ideas?
  11. Strange connection & sound issues

Ok, after a full reinstall here's where we stand At the office we can connect and get audio in both directions without the tunnel. Had to install the "Desktop Experience" on the server to get it to play mp3's but it works. CANNOT get audio between extensions in the office - probably that we...
  12. Strange connection & sound issues

I have access to open individual ports for either TCP or UDP etc OR I can set an "IP Allow" rule which allows all ports to and from the specified IP. I have the latter configured for my office IP to allow traffic on any port between my office IP and my server running 3cx. Note, I have it...
  13. Strange connection & sound issues

No ... we are hosting the 3CX system on a remote server in a datacenter So... Office PC running 3CX Phone/Assistant ----> NAT Router ----> Internet ---> Cisco Firewall ---> Server running 3CX Phone system 9 SP1 Our office IP is completely open in the cisco firewall.. no ports blocked at all...
  14. Strange connection & sound issues

Hi there I'm having a few problems after upgrading from 3CX Phone system 8 to 9. Current Setup: 3CX Phone System 9 running on Windows Server 2008 (Win Firewall disabled) Firewall - Cisco ASA 5055 From my current (Static) WAN-IP to the server all ports through the Cisco firewall are open...
  15. 3cx Assistant and Phone Provisioning URL Always use IP

Was this resolved? I run 3cx on a remotely hosted server and all of my emplyees use it remotely via 3cx tunnel. I need the welcome email & provisioning system to at the very least use the public IP rather than the local IP. Is there any way to do this?
  16. No trial key

I've submitted the form but have not received my trial key... how long does it normally take?
  17. Tunnel issues out of hours

I'm not sure where to post this so please move it to the correct place if this isn't it. We have our 3CX system configured with our office hours to prevent further inbound calls outside of that time, instead redirecting them to VM. Our office hours are configured as 9am - 5pm Mon-Fri However...
  18. Automated Deployment - Assistant and Soft Phone

Ok.... now take a look at something for system admins. How about an install-builder script in a similar style to how Nullsoft Scripts work? Basically, allow a zip download of the soft-phone/assistant that includes a couple of ini files and an additional exe. I could edit the ini files with my...
  19. URGENT: Remote Extension - Softphone/Tunnel - Intermittant

I've noticed it twice now, but only when on an external extension connecting via the tunnel using the 3cx softphone. I've been having issues as above anyway but on the days in question I had no disconnects all day and was on an active call at 17:00. As soon as 17:00 arrived my outbound audio...
  20. Automated Deployment - Assistant and Soft Phone

What about for companies that want to use the PBX with different settings from the default? For example, our company uses a different tunnel port for external extensions when people are working from home with the soft-phone. The ability to give them a pre-configured installer would be great as...
