  1. Call Parking to the same parking lot

I really like the way * parks calls. You park it and it tells you what orbit# it's in. (As was suggested above) This works great and you don't have to know what orbit is already in use. Seems strange that free software has so many amazing features that some of these paid systems (not just 3CX)...
  2. BLF on SPA932/962 & Voice Prompts

Good to hear someone else is looking for this!
  3. 6RC1: I Miss basic reporting in the web ui.

Me too. Those basic reports were great and fit the bill on most requests. Having it builtin to the web interface was nice.
  4. Hardware Requirements?

For the price I really like the HP ML115 servers. They have a smart buy for about $650 that includes 1 gig ram and 250g sata drive. Add 1-2 more sata drives and setup mirroring or raid 5 with the built-in raid controller. Add another gig of ram and you have yourself a very nice PBX system for...
  5. How do you get your VoIP number in 411 & phone books

I generally use NexVortex and they can do it for you. I think they charge $20 or something like that to do it. I think it should be free but maybe they get charged by their carriers. Not sure if you can do it yourself. I kind of hope not or else everyone could mess up 411 across the US.
  6. Reinstall new version / can't call outside

Please place an outbound call and post the server status results so we can see what your server is doing.
  7. Router Suggestions

I know Sonicwall works. No problems there. This particular person wanted something inexpensive. Any router will work if you have port forwarding features. The real question is how reliable is the router. Can it handle large amounts of traffic without chocking. Linksys not really, SonicWall no...
  8. Gateway with built in PRI

Patton makes some very nice gatways with PRI. There are currently no PCI cards that will work with Windows (that I know of) or with 3CX.
  9. Windows Server CAL requirement

I can confirm this. You do not need CALS for DHCP or DNS or even 3CX. CALS are for connecting users or devices to the server - users needing email, files, printing, etc. DHCP and DNS are not included in that. I have a 5 user CAL and about 20 devices (2 laptops, 3-5 servers, 1 PDA, 7 phones, 4...
  10. How to retrieve VM for a specific extension?

Anything else you care to leak out? This is good news though as long as you can still check someone elses extension. This works great for secretaries as is.
  11. Router Suggestions

Linksys and NetGear are both in your inexpensive category. I've had better luck with Netgear being more reliable but both work just fine. Depending on where you are located and what your ISP provides, those can be good too. I have SMC with my cable and Netopia for DSL. Never had issues with...
  12. How to retrieve VM for a specific extension?

Nothing yet unless you can program your phone to pass those keys along in a speed dial.
  13. Avaya phones

If it is a sip phone then you should be able to configure it. It needs to point to the 3CX server, ext and ext password.
  14. Hey Admin - How About Some More Categories

It would help if people used the search function too ;)
  15. patton 4118

If you are in the US I might be interested. Which model is it? SN4118/4JS4JO/EUI Smartnode 4 FXS & 4 FXO VoIP Gateway or SN4118/JS/EUI Smartnode 8 FXS VoIP Gateway
  16. Hey Admin - How About Some More Categories

There should be an FAQ or stickys that someone with admin level can change and keep updated. Yes there are a lot of repeats - firewall, OS issues, adapters, phones etc. I would volunteer as that admin if 3CX doesn't have the resources.
  17. Strategy for integrating our fax machine into system

That are all good suggestions. You need an FXS adapter - Grandstream, Patton, Linksys, AudioCodes to hookup as an extenstion in 3CX. From there your analog devices should work just fine. If you have PSTN lines then you need an FXO adapter, again the above brands all work, then an FXS to fax...
  18. Newie.... Really Confused?

Let's try this one issue at a time: Can you try calling ext to ext and post the server status screen of that? That should be the easy part and it that doesn't work, I wouldn't even try calling in/out.
  19. billing

There is a reporting feature but it's not automatic. You can gets all sorts of info for every extension - # of calls, minutes of use, etc.
  20. Linksys SPA942 provisioning template

Re: Creating Repository for provisioning template That's a great idea if you can share the bandwidth. I have some for Polycom phones. I have Linksys phones too but haven't played with provisioning yet.
