  1. Assistant Dialing Mode

Re: Assistant Dialling Mode Thanks. This has been bugging me for a while. Just changed the provisioning setting to remove Phone integration and I can now make the Call via PBX setting stick. Using v.9 SP4.
  2. 8 to 9 upgrade questions

Yes you can. On a standard install they sit in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\3CX\Data\Recording
  3. Installation problem v7.1.6589

Interesting. I'd been thinking in due course to consolidate 3CX with our other servers (presently running Server 2003) and perhaps virtualise it. I believe others have had success doing so but I might just leave it on it's own little XP box for simplicity.
  4. Installation problem v7.1.6589

Yes, installing 3.5 did the trick. 2.0 would seem not to be enough any longer. Running beautifully this morning. 8)
  5. Installation problem v7.1.6589

Thanks mrclassic, Just did the same. Framework 3.5 fresh from microsoft and the installation has now gone through OK.
  6. Installation problem v7.1.6589

Re: Installation problem v8 (script failure) I'm getting this issue installing v.8 on a clean XP Pro machine - Brand new HP machine fresh out of the box. Have also tried after applying current MS updates. V7 installs fine (tried it to see if it would then allow a v.8 install - it didn't)...
  7. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Leonidas, Just doing a bit of out of hours maintenance so I'll have a go with the new build right now. Andy
  8. Stripping prepending digits before dialling internal number

Just coming in over the internet at the moment moment logged in as an internal extension. You may well have cracked it! I like the lateral thinking 8) Gateway will be the key. I will need to make sure strange numbers like 0???? 230 all get routed into 3CX so it can recognise the *230...
  9. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

I'm assuming PBX DELIVER AUDIO (which in older versions was called bind to media server).
  10. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Thanks Leonidas. Which end to bind the the media server, recipient or person initiating the transfer (or both?). I have 6 users who will typically take calls and then transfer Grandstream to Grandstream but another 25 users who will receive those calls after transfer. Hopefully only the 6...
  11. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Using it on my phone and hardly ever put calls on hold I'm afraid. Plenty of use though. Use the phones on static IPs and no handytones (just GXP2000 and GXP2010) and now it's on it's own LAN, no DHCP server but thanks for the hint. If you do recall which setting it was, let me know, it might...
  12. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Just been experimenting with 1.2.2.19 over the last couple of days on one phone. 1.2.2.14 seems to have been superceded. .19 seems good so far. Glad to hear .14 is stable. Only have nearly 3 years experience with Grandstream but I well remember some very dodgy releases! Seem much better...
  13. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Hi Gdewey We get delays in calls sometimes - particuarly after transferring a call using Grandstream hardware buttons. Wanted to rule out unsupported firmware issues - but rather hard to comply with the supported firmware unless I can find it somewhere! Are you quoting the bootloader or the...
  14. GrandStream GXP2000 Firmware 1.1.6.44

Just doing some trouble-shooting. Can anyone let me know where to get the supported 1.1.6.37 firmware? It no longer seems to be available from Grandstream. Grandstream seem to have removed the 2000 firmware file from 1.1.6.37 pretty quickly and moved on to 1.1.6.44 which was allegedly...
  15. Stripping prepending digits before dialling internal number

Slightly odd one this. I have a user with a Siemens Gigaset 475IP DECT system which has one of its accounts registered with 3CX as an internal extension. The Siemens is configured to add a local dial code on all its VOIP accounts to any number not preceded by a zero (which of course includes...
  16. 3CX & Grandstream 2010

Kevin, Thanks it does. Spotted it on Friday after a post by kellyg. Used to be on (and work slightly differently) by default in v.6. Posted it here https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/seeing-which-number-has-been-called-v-8.12334/ Just working through some of my other questions - and...
  17. Seeing which number has been called (v.8)

Spotted the answer to this here http://www.3cx.com/forums/caller-id-of-voip-provider-or-name-12470.html Using a sensible naming convention, this shows the relevant info on the phone display when it rings.
  18. 3CX & Grandstream 2010

Re: Getting Disillusioned with 3CX Matt, Yes, if I had my time again we'd go with Snom - though for a key-phone setup like ours, the price premium is very significant. Interesting what you say - I've migrated most support to our normal IT provider now that (on my recommendation) he has rolled...
  19. Seeing which number has been called (v.8)

I have several different numbers being answered by a central switchboard. All the numbers come in on the same trunk, so I have inbound rules pointing the different numbers to the same ring group. I also have numbers coming in on that trunk which are directed to individual extensions. In v.8...
  20. 3CX & Grandstream 2010

Re: Getting Disillusioned with 3CX Hi Vali, Yes, we might well do that. There were some minor issues for us in v.6 but I have this afternoon been discussing internally to see if we can recall what they were and whether they were show-stoppers. On the other hand there are some very attractive...
