    We have been having the same problem. What we do is change the ip of the server, setup the voip provider with the ip we want to use and then set the box back to the address. It won't let you set up the provider with the same ip as the box.

    I think tradesman's question is the same as mine. We are setting up Sip Trunking with a local company and will have a number of lines ported out to them. It appears we need to have a different ID and password for each line in order to do this. The provider wants to give us one set of credentials...

    Check your sound cards .wav volume playback setting, it might be turned down.

    Look at your silence suppression on your gateway and your phones. We turned these off and it helped with this problem.

    We are running Version 5.1.4128.0 with no entries in the stun server options under general setttings (the port numbers keep regenerating in the fields) and we are scrolling the same message "There is no valid STUN server specified! External IP can not be resolved."

    Sorry I can't answer that. Our primary phones here are Aastra model 9133i. I got the ip4000 out of the box and put in the gateway info and it worked from day one. Good product. Good sound quality.

    Does everyones 3cx activate license page read "Number of G729 channels - 0"? We are under the impression with the enterprise version we can use any number of lines with G.729.

    We are using the ip4000. Works well but we needed to upgrade firmware to work with our 3cx server because we are using dual nic's as a team. The phone reported ip conflicts until we upgraded.

  14. Group ring with multi-line phones

    We are using Aastra 9133i and 57i. Neither phone works correctly when in a ring group using version 5. If one line is occupied 3cx doesn't ring line 2, it goes to the next phone in the group. Sorry for the slow post, we are working on some kind of solution now. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    We are having a problem with our ring groups not working as expected. In version 3 when the main operators phone was busy on line 1, line 2 would ring. Now if the operator is using line 1, let's say a call is on hold, 3cx skips to the next phone in the ring group instead of ringing line...

    Is this issue being addressed by 3cx staff? This is a problem as our backup operators are now fielding more than 50% of incoming calls. Management is not happy.
