  1. 3cx behing Microsoft TMG...issue with one way outgoing sound

Hello, I am running a 3cx server behing a Microsoft TMG 2010 (Threat Management Gateway, successor of ISA Server). TMG added support for SIP includign a full gateway. At one point in the past it was working, installing TMG Sp1 did seem to break something. Works mostly fine - except OUTGOING...
  2. Voice quality problem? SOMETIMES only`?

But not time dependant. I have 3cx current version running on Hyper-V. VERY low load. Voice quality varies greatly - sometimes it is horrific bad, most of the time quite good. Well, very good - it is a phone system, not a hifi setup. I seem to nail down the bad quality to people using VOIP on...
  3. Changing integrated web server port - how?;)

Any short answer? I would prefer th pbx to answer on port 80 not 5481 ;) Thanks
  4. 3CX database?

The DB is not access.... ....just the reporting utility, if i unerstood that right. A funny choice, but understandable.
  5. Confused about "for Windows"

The problem with statements like that is that regularly hte 1% chance comes back and bites you. SQL Server free editions ("Express edition") is not only slip-streamable into an installer, but one is also explictily allowed to redistribute it. That said - being very verbose about the...
  6. v6 client: bad ui design;)

Will be done ;) Sorry? What else is the voip client than a softphone?
  7. SIP Answer delay or lag

Whow ;) I started thinking it is VOIP in general that has this behavior - I do not make too many calls and some people complained to me about that ;) Nice to know it was a 3cx issue that is resolved now - a lot better than some inherent issue of SIP ;)
  8. Confused about "for Windows"

You are wrong, IIRC. 3cx is SIP based - while the audio streams are UDB based, the SIP command channel is TCP based. This leaves a REALLY low limit on how many users you can handle with 10 TCP connections, ESPECIALLY if you are also doing other things with the OS. It may be usable for 2-3...
  9. Cheap Basic hardware phone?

I like the jukebox idea, but I am afraid I am totally unable to find a decent minimum 1000 watt subwoover that fits into a 3.5" SATA hot swap bay- which is the only place the 1HE server has ;) The idea with a normal phone on a converter is nice, but I think a real VOIP phone is not going to...
  10. 3CX Music On Hold Seperate For diff extentions

Maybe he is not talking about "Music". One extension could be a support line, and while waiting you could read instructions to the user what to keep ready. I had that once at a provider. Definitly a more rarely used feature, but a used one nethertheless ;)
  11. Cheap Basic hardware phone?

I know ;) I mostly want it to get into the ring group for the incoming main calls ;) Can not have this forgotten ;) Any recommendations?
  12. Cheap Basic hardware phone?

I am sort of done having people ignore the softphone ring because they jsut do not watch their screen and have the headset off ;) I would like to put a nice hardware phone into the reception area (only). Noone needs to talk to it, it just needs to RING on incoming calls ;) Anyone has an idea...
  13. Windows 2008

You can not install 64 bit software. i believe it is only for test environments. No, is not and never was. 2008/32bit is a full server and licenseable.
  14. Question about call routing

Because OCS is no competition. OCS is a nice communication endpoint within an enterprise. It's functionality is limited, phoe ad SIP wise,to what it needs to work as customer facing side. And there it just works. 3cx is a pbx, in case yo u have not recognized and has a lot of advanced...
  15. Question about call routing

OCS and 3cx does not work at the moment. Ther are two main issues: * 3cx routing in general is a little weak for ocs * In particular, there is no support for trunking with ocs - you can not say that a specific ip address should be treated as trusted and an extension of the phone system. 3cx...
  16. Bad Audio Quality VOIP to VOIP?

That actually is why I ask. The scenario handles lots of calls on currently 4 operator lines. Incoming, outgoing. Normally quality is really good. I mean, not stellar, but this is PHONE anyway. Sometimes is is miserable. In all cases we could verify it, miserable is when the other side ALSO...
  17. how do i configure my VPN?

Hehe. Yeah. Anyone knows of a log of communication the client could write? I tried Wireshark, but I can not see the VPN connection there - and looking at the traffic of the physical interface is pretty useless (only shows me encrypted GRE packets).
  18. voipclient v6 - we still have incorrect indications

Add Grouping and Ordering to that - not all extensions are created equal ;)
  19. Bad Audio Quality VOIP to VOIP?

Not sure who is respionsible and what to do. We have a test installation of 3cx running with a customer of ours ;) They docall center work, currently running the free license as a trial. In general, things are pretty fine. Sometimes, though, the audio quality SUCKS. Seriously. In every such...
  20. how do i configure my VPN?

You are right, it could be my issue. Escept I can access ANY OTHER SERVICE using the fully qualified DNS name. RDP to all server: working Access to websites in the company: working Acecss to file server: working 3cx: not working. Now guess why I blame you.On top, so far my statistics is 100%...
