Is it possible to change the ring tones on the Snom 300 ip phones so you can tell if the call is internal or an incomming call from a voip line?

Its a shame that you cant automate the hold music file. I overwrote the file with different music and unless you go in to the management console and manually update then the music stays the same. Looks like it's uploaded somewhere when you submit it.

I have 4 Snom 300 phones and everything on 3CX is working fine. When I make a call and press "L1" the phone says "Calls On Hold : 1" but the person on hold just get silence.

Just wondering if it's possible with the free version to have an extension that's outside the local LAN, ie. connected to a different broadband connection via a router. We have this from our current provider as their server is somewhere else. I can take any phone and connect to a DHCP enabled...

Yes, thats a VMware network. I did install the software on a XP box and have had everything working fine today. Although it would ne nice to have it running on our server.

Just relised what the problem was, in the outgoing rules the default was to strip off the 1st dialed digit. I set this to 0 and everything works fine.

OK Decided to set up new system dedicated to the 3cx I can now make internal calls ok and receive calls for the voip provider line. Only problem I have now is that I can not place a call via the voip line.

I updated the flash on the Snom on Saturday but it didn't make any difference. If I understand things, if I call one Snom to the other the traffic goes directly between them and not through the 3cx software? I remember reading that I could dial the IP address of the onther phone and it should...

I will try setting static IP addresses in the morning. Strange thing is that a number of soft phones installed will all work. I also have a number set up from VoipUnlimited and I can dial in from a BT line and the soft phones all ring and can answer the call. 2 way conversation is fine. The Snom...

the router is a 2800vg

Not quite. I need to get the system running using the 1st NIC until I get my number ported over then I want to enable the route. I'm having trouble getting internal extensions talking to each other, see post http://www.3cx.com/forums/unable-to-make-internal-calls-4342.html

we have a windows 2003 server as a domain controller, 1 nic card at the moment. the 3cx is on the server. a vigor router running dhcp and everything connected with a switch. no firewalls are running internally. cant see what we are doing wrong.
