Is there a way to downgrade or revert to a previous firmware version?

if you edit your firmwares.json file to the previous firmware version, and reboot the system, you can downgrade. we ran into a problem many years ago with a bad yealink firmware that made it onto a ton of phones, and you could never upgrade from there again. so we had to roll back and then...

V20 Version Upgrades - Top Reasons for Aborting

assuming the 3cx provided google cloud images are their ISO, then agreed. otherwise we've been using a supported deployment method from 3cx on google's compute engine for a long while.

V20 Version Upgrades - Top Reasons for Aborting

we've been upgrading client systems methodically over the weekends since v20 went final. one things we're noticing is any customer that has had a system running EARLIER than 2016 and has been upgraded along the way, seems to fail. Don't really see anything blatantly obvious in the log file...

    V20: 3CX Re-engineered

one of our 3cx hosted systems is not notifying us that SBCs are going offline even though the box is checked. just for testing purposes we moved the SMTP over to one of our gmail accounts and still not getting notices when this customer flaps down/up (they're having internet issues today)...

    Raspberry Pi 5 - SBC ?

for your custom FQDN, you will need to import your SSL certificate into the raspberry pi. Some of our older customers are running custom FQDNs and our wildcard SSL cert. So we always have to import that into the device before it'll talk...

v20 build 1620, DID incoming assignment not working

deleting and recreating a trunk with some times over 100 DIDs on it is not really an option, so we keep the * trick handy in the bag of tricks.

v20 build 1620, DID incoming assignment not working

on certain providers we have to enter the full 11 digit number on additional DIDs, like 15552223333 and on others we have to enter *5552223333 to get the calls to route. maybe try removing the 1 or adding the 1 depending on your setup.

Making an already deployed T53 into a router phone

something I have tried that seemed to work, open the new web client console where you can setup the router phone on the extension, copy the mac address. also open the older management console. reboot the phone from the old management console and immediately switch to the web client admin...

    Raspberry Pi 5 - SBC ?

we have a few of the old Pi 3 left and are hoarding them for emegency backups with all the other pi3 sbcs we have out there. most of those customers are old enough that they don't have phones capable of being router phones. great platform but we know that day is coming when they are not going...

V20 beta - wondering where to change the callerid name on sip trunks

yes (if you are hosting the system yourself), but this is not recommended or supported. any subsequent sip provider updates pushed by 3cx update server will overright your CLI changes.
