  1. Suggestions on 3CX Bridge Configuration for 12 locations

Hey Michael- Depending on how many endpoints you have at each office location you may be able to get away with using SBC's at each location to handle each site. The latest SBC build allow for up to 250 endpoints (this varies based on how many BLF buttons you plan on using) and you can always...
  2. 3cx SBC not working PLEASE help

Really quick- please edit your post and remove the Tunnel Password
  3. 3cx SBC not working PLEASE help

Great question! Here's how: On Windows I presume? Open up the program files folder for 3CX SBC. inside that folder you should see a file call 3cxsbc.conf You will need to open this file as "admin". I usually just launch notepad++ (or w/e your preferred text editor is) as an admin then I...
  4. 3cx SBC not working PLEASE help

Can you enable Verbose Logging on your SBC and then restart the service then post the errors here for me to look at?
  5. 3cx sbc errors has no registered RTP session

So I got connected with Support and they sent me an internal build of SBC v15 that resolves this problem. Apparently, it's a known issue on the current production build of SBC v15. Once I installed the build they sent me - all the RTP problems went away.
  6. unable to install on Google cloud

Hey, i know this issue: On Yealinks- you will need to go into your Yealink Web UI and navigate to the Security Tab. Then you need to disable "Allow only trusted Certificates". This will reboot the phone and then should allow your phone to check in to your PBX over STUN or SBC. By default...
  7. 3cx SBC not working PLEASE help

Yes, in fact it is recommended that you use multiple SBCs in order to load balance larger environments. SBC v14 is single threaded software and is supposed to support up to 25 Physical phones with 5 BLF buttons each. I have a few deployments where the client has 60+ phones so I install 2 SBCs...
  8. Multiple NICs with 3CX on Debian

Have you looked into configuring your firewalls to do site-to-site VPN instead of running VPN on the server? Not sure if OVH offers edge gateway control or anything like that, but that's what I would do to get around the "1 NIC to rule them all" stance 3CX has. The very manual and not...
  9. New server, now 3CX won't work

A few things to note- When restoring from a backed up config you will want to check your SIP Trunks and Network configurations. The restored config will bring over the old local IP address of the server it used to live on. I've found that this can cause weird issues from Non-functioning SIP...
  10. Firewall check v15 issue

Do you have both TCP and UDP protocols enabled on your Firewall for those ports? I noticed that I had to have both opened in order for it to pass the test.
  11. 3cx sbc errors has no registered RTP session

I should add that all of those tricks worked in v12 and v14 for that error. The irony being that about 10 minutes after I posted my reply- my audio cut out with this exact issue! I"m running v15 on linux and i'm getting pretty consistent issues with my physical phones with one-way audio or no...
  12. Experience of running 3CX on a VPS

I've been running 3CX on various hosted platforms for about 2 years now. Multi-tenant and stand alone. Stand alone runs way better than the multi-tenant setup. The multi-tenant setup has weird issues with it that more often than not result in 3CX support telling us to "move everyone to stand...
  13. V15 use SBC or VPN

I've done this both ways. One company would have routine issues with their VPN tunnels dropping so routing SBC traffic over the tunnel ports made more sense. Those with stable VPN site-to-site didn't bother with an SBC as they just ran over the VPN connection. It really comes back to what...
  14. Is there a way to choose which ext show in "Extensions Up" dashboard?

You will need to use "Extension Groups" and then modify those group rights to display to "all company". I've done this in a few use cases- primarily for hiding phone activity of Executive and HR staff from general viewing. Play around with adding your "dummy extensions" to their own extension...
  15. firewall test failed

You have it hosted somewhere? You will need to check the Firewall ACL for your VPS. In AWS, you need to create security groups to allow traffic on the ports you want. In VMware, you need to configure your edge gateway firewall. It sounds like there is a firewall device somewhere upstream of...
  16. v14 Cloud Migration to v15

We're in a similar boat, but not with those crazy Static IP costs. We're shifting to linux from multi-tenant windows- we will end up saving a lot of money on resources and OS licensing fees, which is nice. It's a pain re-setting up 25 PBXs, though. Hopefully the cost reductions in OS...
  17. 3CX session boarder control

Hey John, The DNS SRV records failing on your SBC is exactly what you think it is. Unfortunately, from what I can tell it would appear that the SBC only looks for SRV records to find your FQDN- it won't attempt to resolve your FQDN using conventional DNS. To get around this, navigate to your...
  18. Debian Install Questions

I ended up finding the "services" tab on the dashboard. the last 3 versions put services on the left hand side- now it's stashed in the middle of the dashboard on a tiny button.
  19. v15 - showing wrong FQDN in partner portal

I see the same thing in mine- i think it has to do with the Webmeeting function? Not too sure, but that DNS entry only seems to be generated and (cared about) by 3CX. 3CX binds that FQDN to your license key- so if you intend to use your license key on an install that uses a different FQDN...
  20. 3cx sbc errors has no registered RTP session

I get these as well, with regularity. Only thing I have done to fix it is: Turn off Windows Firewall Re-install SBC software and don't use encryption Change FQDN to Public IP in the configuration file. uncomment the localSipAddr That seems to help keep that issue from happening.
