  1. Calls routed to voicemail remain connected

I woudl recommend taking a waireshark capture. Once a call is established to 3CX, if the remote caller hands up, your provider shoudl send a SIp BYE to 3CX. If it does send a proper BYE then 3CX shoudl hang up. If it doesn't then 3CX doesnt know the call has ended. Can you capture this...
  2. Caller ID missing on call forward to outside number

When you forward the call via 3CX you will not have the Caller ID of the original Caller but rather your Caller ID from 3CX. Best, Mike
  3. Windows 6.1 mobile as extension

We have done this with Nokias in Europe with 3CX for a commercial VoIP provider. Works well. Mike
  4. Digital Receptionist error

Do other aspects of your IVR work? What about voicemail? Im wondering if you are having issues with your IVR website in IIS. Are you running IIS? Is this server or XP? What application pool is configured on it? Mike
  5. "PBX delivers Audio" .... yes or not ??

PBX delivers audio simply means that the PBX must proxy audio for that extension. This setting should almost always be enabled for your voip line. For an extension you may or may not enable this, but it doesnt effect the codecs you can use. If you enable this, then the PBX will proxy all...
  6. Calls to Voicemail get IVR Error

Do you get IVR errors in other aspects fo the system? For example, what if you create a DR and try to punch in an extension number when calling in....does the transfer work or fail? Mike
  7. Incoming call from certain number direct to VM

You need to create a forwarding rule for your extension. You can create these from the admin UI or via the /myphone interface for your extension. You can then create a forwarding rule based on the caller ID string. Best, Mike
  8. Gateway Hangup problem

Re: 3CX Hangup problem Could you take a wireshark capture on your PBX while making the inbound call and then do the premature hang up and then stop the capture and post the results? I want to see what your gw is doing. Thanks. Mike
  9. configuring DID numbers

Yes, you need to have that in that field (or at least a list of the DIDs). Also, on the DID tab on the VOIP provider you need to tell 3cx where to find the DID, To: User part is the most common. Let me know. Mike
  10. configuring DID numbers

on your voiptalk main number set the 'Source Identification by DID' field to *. Let me know how it goes. Mike
  11. How do I setup a trunk without registration?

Can you setup the other endpoint as a voip provider in the 3cx? It will ask for registration info, put in somethign bogus. After creation, go to the voip provider -> Advanced tab and set registration to "do not require". This will give you a true sip trunk. Then create an outbound rule for...
  12. Conference prompts do not work.

Sure, but assuming he is accessing management portal form the server itself. If he is accessing from his PC, then the codecs are playing from his PC. I bet the managemetn portal is being accessed from another PC. Lets see! 8) Best, Mike
  13. Conference prompts do not work.

desktop experience will solve your issue. You cannot play back the mp3 files (which some prompts are mp3) until you have the codecs that windows media player intalls.
  14. Parking usability

Just a comment on the paging....some phone support multicast paging, such as the aastra 5xi. With multicast paging you can setup your phones to listen for pages to certain multicast IP addresses. On the aastra, you can do up to 5 addresses. So, in other words, you could have 5 different...
  15. Can not Dial on menu tree

Are you using a VoIP provider? If so, then you need to set the setting to whatever they want it to be. RFC 2833 is the most typical. But Inband and SIP Info are the other two options.
  16. VOIP provider connection drops after a few minutes

I assume by "authentication by IP address" you just mean a generic sip trunk without any registration. If you setup your procider as a generic SIP trunk then registration will be set to NEVER. So long as you have a static WAN IP, they could effectively restrict you by IP address. Does that...
  17. Can not Dial on menu tree

Are you refering to menu trees from 3cx? Like, for example, your voicemail menu? Or remote systems that you have called and need to interact with a menu system? What dtmf setting are you using on the phones? Mike
  18. VOIP Providers Line NOT Clearing Down

Hi. 3cx will respond to both. CANCEL should be sent by the provider if the external caller hangs up before you answer the call on the 3CX side. BYE shoudl be used if the external caller hangs up on a live call. The issue I have, is that in your original wireshark post where you say the the...
  19. RING GROUP- Phone not ringing while on phone

Can you call the ring group and answer the call on pne of the phones then call the ring group again. While doing this capture verbose logs in 3cx and post them? thanks. Mike
  20. VOIP Providers Line NOT Clearing Down

I believe this appears as I thought. These look normal. And when the call with the external person is hung u on the 3cx side first, 3cx sends the expected BYE message to tell the VoIP provider the call has ended. In your origional post you were receving RTP (audio) all the way until the end...
