  1. Upgrading from v9 3CX

Thanks for both responses. I will take a look at the blog and hold on for SP2.
  2. Upgrading from v9 3CX

I installed my 3CX system a number of years ago and updated it until it hit v9.15781. It has remained stable since then as I had no need of the new facilities introduced in later versions. I'd now like to bring the system right up to date (I have continued my maintenance payments) as part of a...
  3. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

Thanks you should have a mail now. Rgds John
  4. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

Thanks for the advice. I have fixed the original incoming PSTN call termination issue. For anyone in the UK there are some useful documents at http://www.sinet.bt.com. Documents SIN350 and SIN351 detail the UK PSTN line specification. I have now changed the loop break parameter as follows --...
  5. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

Sorry forgot to mention using 4112 firmware 5.1 Do you think 5.2 would be a better option and if so would it work with the same auto generated config file? Thanks
  6. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

OK thanks. Have upgraded to RC3 and yes the line clears after 120 secs, so that is much better but will look into the PSTN line question. The line is a standard BT PSTN line so I don't think there is anything unusual about it. I'm using your standard 4112 config file. Rgds John
  7. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

Yes the line shows connected even though the incoming call has cleared down. When you say fixed in the next version do you mean v8 or the final version of 7.1? Thanks
  8. Voice mail holding up PSTN line

Using v7.1 RC1 and Patton 4112 Setup so that incoming call goes to VM on no answer. If the caller presses # then 0 all works OK. If the caller leaves no message and hangs up OR presses # without pressing 0 the PSTN line hangs up. Incoming caller get busy tone, outgoing call gets busy on SIP...
  9. Patton 4112 ??

Sorry that should have said v7.0.4744
  10. Patton 4112 ??

William Thanks I followed your instructions and the devices don't appear on the list of PSTN gateways. I restarted the 3CX services and edited the .xml to make sure the version of s/w was accurate i.e. 7.447 but the devices still don't appear on the list. Any ideas?
  11. Patton 4112 ??

I've just been testing the latest build of v7 and noticed that the Patton 4112 has gone from the list of PSTN gateways which is a shame as this is what I am using. IS it just a case of using the 4114 template and telling it that there are only 2 lines?? If it's not that simple could the 4112 be...
  12. Lates firmware of Aastra 5xi phones

I've now tested the new build with Aastra phones and it is all looking good so far - no more rebooting. Greeat news! Thanks 3CX
  13. Group Paging

Mike, Matt It's good to know that it does work in general. The same thing happens with softphones. Looking at the server log it only tries to setup a call to 1 extension. I am therefore starting to wonder if this is a licence issue. I have a full feature demo licence installed. I have reduced...
  14. VoIP Client not connecting to 3CX Server

I have seen the same thing on both v6 and v7. From what I can see the extension number can be what you want it to be but the PIN has to be the same as the extn no., which is odd becuase with a hardphone it can be anything you want.
  15. Group Paging

Thanks both I just tried that and the same thing happens i.e the extension listed first in the group goes off hook but none of the other extns do. Do you actually have this working? Thanks John
  16. Group Paging

Has anyone got this to work? I have tried this on v6 and v7 but the same results. I am using several Aastra 57i phones, all with the latest firmware configured as per the 3CX notes for this phone. I have created a ring group (200) with the ring strategy of 'Paging'. The ring group has 4...
  17. Help with setting up outgoing PSTN lines

galal202 - thanks for your help, much appreciated. It took 3 weeks for the Patton to arrive so I've only just had time to test this. I think I now understand where you are going with this. In brief you suggest setting up a different IP port e.g. 5061 or 5062 for each of the PSTN lines?? I...
  18. Help with setting up outgoing PSTN lines

Thanks for the response but as per my original mail I can't see a way of doing what you have said. That's exactly what I want to do apart from using differnt codes for each line, however what I think you are limited to is only defining the gateway and not the line. The drop down box doesn't give...
  19. Help with setting up outgoing PSTN lines

Sorry but I don't see how you choose the line. Are you saying that the gateway can be configured to make outgoing calls on a certain PSTN line based on the source extension number?? If not could you please explain how using extension 100 for an outgoing call will use the private line vs an...
  20. Help with setting up outgoing PSTN lines

Hi I am reasonably new to 3CX and have currently setup a v6 and v7 test environment. I think I have a fairly typical requirement which is: Seven Aastra 57i phones. I work from home and have 1 x PSTN line for home use (private) and 1 x PSTN line for work use (business). I have ordered a...
