1 Way Audio from external Extensions

    I have a brand new install of 3cx on a public IPed server, direct connect no NAT etc. here is the log when even calling 999
    Single NIC, latest updates on 3cx, OS is XP Pro

    What sort of router/firewall is extension 300 behind? If calls to 3CX VM get no audio then it would tend to point to something (router) at the remote end not allowing the voice packets to get through. Could it be because those port numbers are forwarded to another device on the network?

    Hi,

    Verbose log provides more information. It is recommended to set it on Settings->Advanced page of management console and then restart 3CX PhoneSystem service.

    1. Try to connect 3CX Phone instead of x-lite. In account configuration set "I'm out of the office" and specify IP of PBX. Does 3CX Phone receive audio? If 3CX Phone has no problems then you need to check x-lite settings.
    2. If 3CX Phone also has the same problem then try to set ALLOWSOURCEASOUTBOUND parameter (in PBX configuration) to 1. This parameter is described in release notes for SP5 (you can find it on 3cx.com/blog)
    I think that ALLOWSOURCEASOUTBOUND=1 will resolve problem but it may cause problems in some call scenarios. I would like to recommend either to check NAT device (router/firewall) configuration on remote end or to use 3CX Phone connected through the tunnel.

    Thank you will try that. The issue comes from soft phones on iPhone via 3G 3GS or other soft phones don't work and I can't change any settings in Att network will try to change the setting you mentioned. Thank you.

    Can you test on a remote softphone on a PC instead of from the iPhone? Does the iPhone work on WiFi?

    Everywhere I tested it didnt work. I didnt get a chance to make the change yet. I will later today and report with the results

    Ok tested again from a remote location with x-lite phone again with changed setting same issue. Used 3CX iphone client same issue.

    There is no 3CX for Mac the softphone that is, so I can try it.
