    Hi,

    We are looking at setting up a server for a client with approx 100 users currently. My boss has asked me to research what sort of hardware would be best to run this on and other people's experiences with 100+ users.

    Would be grateful for your comments.

    Thanks
    Chris

    has anyone used 3cx with 100+ users?

    Can anyone tell me what load 100 users would place on the hardware?

    Thanks
    Chris

    "Number of users" is not a parameter which influences the performance dramatically. It starts to play role in case if number of users much more then 100.
    the "profile of typical usage" is much more useful for estimation, i.e. the rate of call/sec, number of calls/scenarious running simultaneously. It influences scalability of the installation.

    My estimations for 100 users:
    memory: 2GB
    CPU: E2200
    HDD: any >=5400 RPM... bigger=better

    It will support this setup (almost) independently of the "profile" and may allow you to scale installation up to 500-1000 extensions.
    It is my personal opinion based on synthetic tests. The real user's experience may be completely different from my estimations.
