Read our guide on how to configure a SIP Trunk / VoIP Provider. This covers the generic steps required to configure a trunk with 3CX. Take note of the below special configuration requirements for 2Talk:
Enter the main trunk number in the national format (e.g. 0285203570).
This article is not quite complete. I have struggled with 2talk for about a week and have finally got the trunks to work.
Adding the Trunk
Go to “SIP Trunks” and select “Add SIP Trunk”
Select Country: NZ
Select Provider in your Country: 2Talk
Main trunk number: This will have been provided to you by 2Talk. You must enter the number in the national number format (e.g. 021234567)
Click "Options" and check the boxes for "Allow inbound calls" and "Allow outbound calls"
Press “OK”
At this point all necessary fields will have been filled in automatically. All that you need to do is scroll to the top of the page and press OK. Your Trunk is now ready to make and receive calls.
2talk lines will not work as SIP trunks by default.
Log into the 2talk website using the credentials given to you by 2talk
Click "Line Manger" in ther left hand menu
Find the line number you are using as a SIP trunk and change the "Restrict Access Line?" setting to "Yes"
Enter a six digit password into the "Line Password" field - it doesnt matter what you enter as 3CX does not use this password
Change the "EnableSIP trunk?" setting to "Yes"
Enter the public IP address of the 3CX system into the "P" (Primary) field
I am not seeing these options in the 2talk portal but we will look into it and see if we can add something in the user guide. Thank you for letting us know
