Just a heads up for everyone that might have a similar situation...
If you're running 3CX 12.5 SP0 and have "upgrade insurance", please install the 3CX SP1 patch as soon as possible before your upgrade insurance renews/expires. If you don't, your 3CX phone system will fail to activate a new license (due to certificate issues), and you will be forced to install and reconfigure 3CX 12.5 SP2 by hand.
This happened to us last Monday. Our phone system suddenly went into "free mode" because our "upgrade insurance" tried to renew itself and the 3CX phone system failed to reactivate. Once our phone system was in "free mode", we were unable to install 3CX SP1 that's required to reconfigure the system for the changes in 3CX 12.5 SP2. All of our backups were literally useless because they would not work on 3CX 12.5 SP2+. Several calls into 3CX resulted in nothing. The activation glitch cost our company 4+ hours of phone down time and nearly 30+ hours of labor to get the latest 3CX 14 installed and semi-operational. Don't even get me started about all the missing/changed features of 14; I foresee us downgrading in the future...
