3CX Assistant's CALL button greyed out

    I am unable to make calls from 3CX assistant, although it connects fine, and all extensions are shown in a list together with green status flags. However, when I right click to call, the button is greyed out. Double clicking makes no difference. I have 3CX VoIP Soft phone running at the same time, and am able to make calls to anyone from here.

    Incidentally, I also get another error from somewhere else in this forum - "Vista x64 TAPI issue" http://www.3cx.com/forums/vista-x64-tapi-issue-5804.html. When I try to make a call from Outlook 2007 I get a DNS crash. All calls, servers and clients are internal on a LAN.

    I am using an unpaid version of 3CX.
    Soft Client: 3.1.6288.0
    Assistant: 7.1.3438.0
    Server: 7.1.6589.0
    Client Running Vista 64-bit

    You need to use 3CX VoIP Phone to make calls. Call button on 3CX Assistant is for using jointly with FXS gateway of SIP Phone.
