    Hello Members,

How does a 3CX system publish its information across a bridge...
What is the nature of these notification updates, SIP notify messages ?
Which information is the part of notification ? (phonebook updates, IM status)
Does the bridge publish all the information again after every few seconds/minutes ?

    Thanks,
    Rishi

If I understand correctly, all the non-call information (Presence, chat messages, Extension Groups, etc) is passed over a TCP connection between the 2 peers and that happens through HTTP/S ports of each system. All changes are not updated at intervals, they should be near instant.

All call related information (initiating, terminating, transferring, etc) depends on whether the Bridge is Tunneled or not. If not, the information is proper SIP. If it is Tunneled, the traffic is still SIP but encapsulated into the Tunnel before being passed to the other side.

    Thanks for the information Nick...
Do the servers maintain a keepalive message exchange between them ? What is Round trip time for a keepalive to be detected ?

    Regards,

The Presence Information is a TCP connection and it is constant so that requires no keep-alives. The SIP part of the Bridge has a re-registration time, which by default is 60 seconds, you can change that though from the Bridge settings of the Slave.
