Is anyone using 3CX for Public Safety or other services that require critical uptime? I have 3CX in service for general offices but would like to use it for other departments that would require that there be 99.999% uptime.

Uptime isnt going to be so much dependent on the actually pbx but other factors, power, hardware, bandwidt etc... As long as you have a solid redundancy plan in place you shouldbe good to go. Multiple trunk providers, backup power, redundant data providers backup server and license are just a few things that would help.

    Agree with John Here.

You may need to take advantage of virtualization with the high availability clustering in something like vmware / hyper v

I know 3CX has been talking about their new high availability model but its not out yet.

But make sure you have backup plans for all factors!
