Solved 3CX Gateway for Skype - Don't work

    Hi everybody,

    Since a couple of months my skype trunk (3CX Gateway for skype v.2.0.9919.0) was leaving work properly: I can't make/receive calls to/from skype.

    Nothing changed in the configuration or update in the PBX or Windows OS. Maybe it is involded about any change in the las changes with the Skype network and/or skype client for windows.

    Now I'm using the v7.31.0.104 of Skype for Windows client on the 3CX Phone System`s server.

    Somebody knows what its happening or has the same problem?

    It is not working since Microsoft purchased Skype, obviously you luckily have not upgraded your Skype client version to Microsoft's one.
    As far as I remember the last working Skype version was 5.5 or similar.

    You can use now Skype for Business SIP trunk or integrate your 3CX phone with Skype for Business client, see: http://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/skype-for-business/
    For last you need 3CX V15 SP4 PhoneSystem Pro Edition.

    I wrote up a method for getting the Skype gateway to work. I just have to find the post. Mine still works with 3CX version 14. I can't see why it wouldn't work with the windows version of 15, but can't confirm.

    Once you get it working Skype will keep nagging you (a window) to upgrade, don't !

    Hi again,

    Thanks Orlin Schopp and Leejor for your tips and support. Finally the 3CX Gateway for Skype is working again!

    SOLUTION (for the record): I solved this issue...

    1. removing the uptated running version of Skype (7.31.80.104)
    2. cleaning the registry with CCleaner (5.24.5841)
    3. reinstalling the an old version of skype (7.16.32.101)
    4. re-run the 3CX Gateway for Skype (2.0.9919.0)
