3CX Hotel Module with PMS Integration VoiceMail

We are evaluating 3CX to use in our casino and 105 room hotel property. ~250 extensions

Our PMS Integration uses a third party interface server called COMTROL. COMTROL has separate interfaces for PBX and VOICEMAIL.
Does 3CX use one Interface (Port) to communicate to the both PBX side (turn phones off/on) and for VOICEMAIL side (reset mailbox)? It appears there are only one IP/Port configuration in the Hotel Module.

The COMTROL support Mitel SX 2000 for PBX, however in the VOICEMAIL section, they list Mitel Express Messenger or MitelMail. And, I believe that these talk on two separate ports in COMTROL. Does 3cx communicate on two separate ports or multiplex over the single port?

Can any one shed some light on this for me.

(PS: If you want to know, our PMS is a product called Cenium.. it's my understanding that it has presence in Europe, but only handful of implementations in North America)

it will depend on the level of integration. fundamentally 3cx uses one port from the pms system for the services activity. this is the check-in/out and status activity that is the functional level of how the two systems interoperate. the other port that may be used is that for reporting any call activity back to the pms system via the smdr for billing purposes into the customer/guest folio for calls that may have been made.

as far as I know, comtrol is a hardware device manufacturer that does communication level protocol conversions from say serial (rs-232) to Ethernet and vice versa so as to allow and facilitate communications between systems that would otherwise not be possible. they are oftentimes referred to as device servers.

voice mail is wholly contained with 3cx and has minimal impact or interaction with the pms other than if a checkout should occur, the vm for that extension/room will be deleted and all external calls blocked 9now a vacant room) when the checkout command is received by 3cx from the pms.
