I am interested in testing 3CX for possible deployment in our environment and I am interested in running it in Hyper-V. I plan to upgrade our R2 Hyper-v configuration to use HA and Live Migration. I saw a couple other posts on the forum where issues were peopled posted about this and issues they ran into and others helped them to solve those issues. My question centers around performance. I would like to support 30 calls simultaneously and I am concerned about performance for 3CX when the voice traffic is passing through the Hyper-V NIC along with traffic for other VMs. Hyper-V allows for associating a VLAN to a NIC and I supposed I could prioritize that traffic in a switch over the other traffic to/from the other VMs. Has anyone done this and if so, can you help me understand what sort of performance I can expect? I want calls to sound clear and be reliable. If you have tried this, I am also curious about what happens to existing calls when live migration kicks in. Do the calls drop or break up or is it transparent?
Thanks!
