3cx recording file

    Hi guys,

    One of our clients have a unique issue.

    There are some calls where the recording doesn't start from the beginning. Basically when you download the recording and listen to it, it starts kind of in the middle of the conversation.

    Have you guys ever had such an issue?

    Hello @Riaan

    Do those extensions have recording enabled? Is the call forwarded from a different source to the extension? Is there a call scenario where this is replicable like it is always on the same extension or it is always forwarded from an IVR or it is always from the same trunk

    Hi YiannisH,

    I havent mentioned the platform.

    Currently 3cx runs on debian v15.5.

    Yes the extensions have recording enabled. The client doesn't record the call manually.

    The random issue happens only on outbound calls over a single sip trunk.

    Im going to try and force the codec to g711 instead of g729. In the past its usually transcoding.
