3cx SBC on Raspberry PI does not install

Hi,

I've setup a new Raspberry PI 3 (Downloaded Noobs installer and installed Raspbian). Followed the instructions from the 3CX website to install. Got through the config to enter all the details of the setup.

At the end it says .."You can now restart your IP Phones and access the 3CX Management Console > Phones node to provision your IP Phones."

So far it all appears ok, but if I have a look on the PI, there are no files of 3cx, for example I cannot find '/etc/3cxsbc.conf' and my SIP phones cannot connect to the SBC.

I've setup 3CX SBC on an older version of Raspberry PI and that setup worked.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Run this from the command line.

cat /etc/os-release

See if you are running Debian 8 Jessie. Looks like the new ones are coming in with 9.1. I believe the SBC only supports Jessie.

Thank you for the response Neville. I checked and I'm running ver 9 Debian. Now where to download Debian 8 Jessie for the Raspberry. I cannot find older versions on their website.

I will install and test 3cx SBC on it.

Edit: This version does not work on Raspberry Pi 3 Model B - 2015-11-21-raspbian-jessie.zip

Ok, I can confirm that Raspberry Pi 3 Model B works with raspbian-2017-07-05 ( https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/raspbian/images/raspbian-2017-07-05/ ).

Also 3CX SBC installs correctly with this version (Raspbian 8 Jessie).

Perhaps 3CX can update their install instructions (https://www.3cx.com/docs/3cx-tunnel-session-border-controller/ ) to reflect these Raspbian version issue.

I figured out how to install the sbc on rasbian 9 stretch
edit your sources.list
add
deb http://mirrordirector.raspbian.org/raspbian/ jessie main contrib non-free rpi
then do a sudo apt-get update
then run
sudo apt-get install libicu52 libssl1.0.0 libcurl3=7.38.0-4+deb8u5
and then install 3cxsbc like normal
