    Hello Members,

I'm planning to implement a 3CX system for a client which has one central office location and few remote workers(Work from home types).
3CX system would have public IP assigned to it. I plan to assign public IP on the phone client(Android/Iphone) for remote workers.

---So do I need a session border controller installed at the central office for this scenario ?
---Will presence work between central office workers and remote workers ?
---In which case would I really need a SBC ?

    Thanks in Advance,

The way your scenario is described is that you have individuals that will be working from their homes or other remote locations, but only one worker will be at any given location at a time. If you will use the static public IP at 3CX and turn off STUN and then use a FQDN for both internal and external, you will likely be fine without a SBC. There is no real need to assign a static public IP to the clients. If needed, due to firewall issues, you could also possibly use the tunnel.

    Presence should work fine.
