    Hi guys,

    We have been trying to connect our 3cx to a CUCM and the link has been achieved, however, when dialing custom SIP URIs containing a special character such as a '.' this is removed making the call fail.
    eg: test123@example.com
    prefix: * => example.com

    calling *test123 = Successful
    Calling *test.123 = fail due to removing '.'

    Has anyone come across this? is there a walk around?

    the 3cx and cucm are linked via trunk and we are able to make calls.

    Additionally, the codec used for video by the 3cx softphone is limited to H263 and VP8? no H264, will this be added soon?

    Kind Regards,
    ~Luis Santos

    Further to my earlier post: From a developers perspective,
    Could we not have a regular expression for sip URIs' thus if it includes @ or SIP: on the other hand if it uses a url:
    regular expression:
    (?=^.{4,253}$)(^((?!-)[a-zA-Z0-9-]{1,63}(?<!-)\.)+[a-zA-Z]{2,63}$)
    thus allowing us to call SIP Uris'
