3CX update failed

Hi my name is Biju and i am new to this forum. I am using 3CX phone system V12 SP3. I am trying to update the SP and getting below error.

"The Update Procedure Failed. For more information check the log file "3CXUpdater.log"

Have attached the screenshot of the error.

Tried restarting the server but of no use. If anyone solved this issue then let us know please.

Hi Biju

That appears to be that the service pack update zip file was corrupted when you downloaded or the unzip did not succeed. Are you using an antivirus on your system or anything that inspects downloaded packages? The header code 0x6D74683C corresponds to the ASCII sequence <htm, which I presume is the truncated HTML header in a web page. since you are downloading the content of the .zip archive, then perhaps it means the web server is returning HTML code instead of the intended archive

Thanks for your reply. We are having eScan Antivirus in the server. I am trying to update through the management console Service Pack update portion. OS is Windows 7 Professional.

Re: 3CX update failed (Solved)

The below update issue has been resolved.

1) Take backup of the 3CX database.
2) Uninstall existing version of 3CX Phonesystem software.
3) Download and install latest software from 3CX website.
4) Restore the backup to the new system.
