    Hi,

    Our current install is 15.5.715.6
In the Updates page, we see 15.5.1694.0 is available.
After selecting the 'Download selected' button, we get a confirmation popup, but after selecting the OK button, we are immediately redirected to the login page.
We also receive a 'Update complete' email, but when logging in, we see the version is still the same, and the update is still available.
Already tried with several web bowsers.

    Can anyone help ?

    Thank you !

    Hello @next2

Please do check that your machine's OS up to date with all the latest updates installed and that there are no pending updates, then try the to update PBX again, and let us know the result.

    Thank you

Hi, this is a Linux install. We had downloaded the ISO from 3CX website and installed as a Hyper-V VM.
We do not have any knowledge in Linux OS... Hope you can help.

    Hi,
Log in to your machine as root and run the following commands

    apt-get update
    (once finished)
    apt-get upgrade
    type y when requested

After the OS update is finished, try to update your PBX.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Did you came from a backup? One reason that may cause this problem is restoring a backup of a newer version to an earlier version of PBX

No. This was a fresh install.

    Hello @next2,

Let's work this. Your PBX version is a Beta version. So the best thing to do is:

    1. take a backup
    2. uninstall the PBX
    3.run the following commands:

    wget -O- http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3cxpbx/public.key | apt-key add -

    echo "deb http://downloads.3cx.com/downloads/3cxpbx/ /" | tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/3cxpbx.list

    apt-get update

    apt-get install 3cxpbx

This should install the latest version of PBX on your machine (you can also find the installation procedure here).

4.During the installation, restore your previously taken backup.

    Thank you

OK. The PBX had been installed in May this year. Thought the Linux distribution was final at that time.
    3 questions :
1/ how can I uninstall the PBX ? Any command(s) to do that ? Sorry, as explained, we have no experience with Linux.
2/ if we need to backup and restore the whole config, don't you think we'd better download a final image from 3cx website ? In that case, could you provide us the download link. Don't want to do the same mistake and download a beta version.
3/ Also, can you confirm the linux version has the same features as the Windows version ? The main advantage is that we do not need a Windows license, but of course if we're missing features, and if it makes updates/upgrades more difficult, we'll stick with the Windows version.

    Thank you !

    Hello @next2,

    1. Run the following commands one-by-one:
    apt-get purge 3cxpbx
    apt-get update
    apt-get autoremove

    2. Running the given commands from previous post (the ones in the provided guide) will download and install the latest PBX version from 3CX's repository so there is nothing to worry about.

    3. There are some advantages of the Windows version like ODBC but they are kinda minor meaning that they are sort of daintily features where most of the users don't even use. Be sure that you won't miss anything valuable nor having any problems with the Linux version, it is as good as the Windows version. They just have a few very daintily differences as i said before, that most probably you won't even notice.

    Thank you

All good ! uninstalled, reinstall, and restored the backup. Now evertyhing looks OK. Also, we applied the built-in provisioning template for the T40G, and BLF assignments work correctly. Thanks a lot for your help !
