    Hi,

We currently have a system in the Netherlands with a 3cx VAD system in front of the line. Users call a number and enter the 3cx VAD script where the need to verify using a PIN number.

But for some reason some callers from Belgium cant seem enter a pin . when the script is in debug mode there a no numbers shown into the script.

I think it has to do with FSK signal used by some belgium providers ?

Does the 3cx VAD system support FSK ?

is there a workaround/configuration available so that VAD system understands the FSK signal ?

    greetings,

    Mike

    Hi Mike,

The FSK signal is used on the analog side of the line. It must be converted to a digital DTMF signal by the VoIP Provider or Gateway. The VAD application will receive the digital DTMF signals normally using RFC2833 (audio encoded as special RTP payload). Some gateways are configured to send SIP-INFO, which is also supported, but if the gateway or VoIP provider is sending DTMF in band, then pretty sure the compression of the audio will cause that the digit is not correctly interpreted on the VAD side. So, please check if the gateway or provider is sending the DTMF in band, in that case re-configure the device or ask your provider to adjust this setting.

    Kind regards.
