When looking at the XML file for our yealink phone book noticed that the FirstName entry is actually the LastName and vice versa. This person's FirstName is Cory and LastName is Adams.

It is this way in all the XML phone books.

Any ideas why?

Hi there,
In which file did you see those infos ?
Looking at the yealink_phonebook.xml located in our provisioning folder, syntax is not same and there is no separate fields for last name and first name, there is just a Name field :
<DirectoryEntry>
<Name>Riley Decker</Name>
<Telephone>12345</Telephone>
</DirectoryEntry>

Pierre,
This is the name of the file: 3CXPhone-directory.
I put in wrong file name.....sorry.

Well in that other file first name and last name matches my company phonebook entries here on v12 sp6, are you running latest versions?

We are running V12 SP6.
I just added a new extension to test.
See result below:

Ok I found it,
Just toggle option in Settings / Phone Provisioning / General : "Generate SIP-Phone phonebook provisioning files in the following order"

Pierre,
My value in that field is 1. Do you mean change to 0? See below:

PHONEBOOK_LAST_FIRST Defines caller name replacement format. Available values 0=FirstName LastName 1=LastName FirstName Default 1 1

review my reply I edited it no need to go through custom parametrs

Pierre,

That worked!!!
Thank you for your very timely assistance.
Have a great day!!
