I have client in an always on type company that needs to be available at all times.
We recently installed 3cx V15SP3 and he is very happy with the PBX.
The only issue is that when the office is closed, his customers have the ability to call him on his extension through IVR.
When the timeout is reached it forwards the call to his mobile number.
Sadly he does not see the callerID from the mobile number. he sees the number of the PBX. He wanted me to change that.
according to 3starsnet they do send the OrignatorCallerID and allow for it to be transferred.
The 3CX documentation says that you should change one of the following params to "OriginatorCallerID" according to what your PBX uses:
I have changed any and all of these settings but the farthest i have gotten was that it displayed a "private nummer" or "Caller ID withheld"
How can i troubleshoot this? (wireshark?) As i want to be able to present this case either to 3cx (which i doubt) or to my provider that guaranteed me that this is possible on their end.
