Access to DB on 15.5

    Is it possible to access the DB on 15.5? I've tried all username / password combinations found in the ini file to no avail.

    First please explain why you want to access the database. Perhaps we can offer some alternatives. I should point out that accessing the PostgreSQL database directly is not supported, and strongly discouraged.

    Perhaps we can get you the information you desire another way. For example, you can get the CDR information by parsing the optional CDR files 3CX can generate for each call. It has some very useful call information about each call including the entire call chain. Form the 3CX Management Console, navigate to Settings --> CDR.

    If you want extension information, queue information, or all the events that take place with a call and things like that, you can get it through the Call Control API. Getting data through the CDR files, reports, or via the Call Control API are the only supported ways of getting information out of 3CX. But until we know why you want access to the 3CX database, we can not offer alternatives.

    If you are determined to access the database directly, know that 3CX support will not be pleased, and you could get yourself into an "unsupported" situation. As self-serving as this will sound, you could look at our 3CX Exporter which synchronizes both the CDR files and the data in 3CX with a SQL or MySQL database. It is an application that has been thoroughly tested on hundreds of servers over the last 7 - 8 years and has no know issues.
