Added DID to extension, deleted extension, DID no longer available

    As title says

    Added a DID to an extension, deleted the extension without first deleting the DID from it, now the DID does no longer show on the DID numbers as a valid DID to add to another extension

    Any ideas?

    ok aparently its a bug, it doesnt get deleted from the inbound rules automatically creating an invalid inbound rule

    going to inbound rules and deleting it, made the DID number available again

    What should happen, is, that while the DID rules still exists, 3CX should prevent deletion of the destination extension with a warning to delete the DID rule first. Ideas forum suggestion?

    What should happen is when you delete an extension that was set as destination of an inbound rule then the destination should change to "End Call" and not delete the Inbound rule.

    Inbound rules can have different destinations for In office hours and Out of office hours. Deleting one destination should not delete the Inbound rule. Even if the same extension is set to both destinations the PBX will revert the destination to End Call. You may have also have specific office hours set in your inbound rule that you may not want deleted.

    It is your choice to delete the inbound rule or edit it and associate it to a different extension after the original extension deletion. This is by design and it is not a bug. You can however request this to change by creating a feature request to our ideas section of the forum where it can be upvoted by other users and evaluated by the appropriate department.
