With the advent of cloud hosted options, we're looking at running a cloud server on behalf of a client. The client I'm setting up at the moment is smart enough that we fell safe giving him the Admin login, or creating him as an additional Admin user. But this would give him the power to lock us out. We feel it would be useful to have a way around this aside from examining a backup ZIP to find the password. I can see two ways to achieve this - do NOT permit a "regular user" who has been granted admin status to change the main admin password, or otherwise disable that access. or - have a "super-admin" account as a back-door. This could also act as a "recover lost admin password" tool for any 3CX user. In this picture I would envisage the password perhaps be kept on the licence server at 3CX and be made available only via email to the licence-owning dealer or some similar scheme.
