Agents Status while listenign to voicemail

    We are looking into getting a 3CX system but i wanted to find out how the system handles the following scenario.

    If an agent is listening to a voicemail, does their status automatically change to show their busy or not available to prevent internal and external calls from coming to their extension?

    Hello,

    No this does not happen, if you have the extension configured to accept more than one call at a time there phone will either ring or there extension will be ignored depending on the setup you have i.e. ring group, IVR, Queue. If you have one person accepting multiple calls you would want to configure it to accept multiple calls, or the agent/user could use the dial code to change the status to away/DND until they are finished checking VMail and then switch back to available.
