I have a new client with a 3CX System and today he call's me to say none of his phones are working in his office. I have done the following preliminary diagnostics:

Internet up and bandwidth @ 5mbps(as usual)
Checked 3CX services and all are running
Rebooted server 2 times - no effect

I am new to 3CX and VOIP(for the most part), any ideas?

    Thank You Very Much,

    Kyle West

Was the server getting an IP address from DHCP instead of being a static IP? If so, the IP might have changed and now the phones can't find the server.

When that happens for us, it is 99% of the time a STUN server issue.

Yes, all of ours phones are outside the LAN, and indeed the stun server went down. We have switched from using the 3cx stun servers, that were unfortunately, not reliable.

The thing is, at sometimes 1-3 phones are registered. Last night I was able to call in and get the after hours voice recording, this morning that is no longer working.

They have a Netgear POE switch, I believe it may be having a POE error. I am looking into that issue now.

Could a POE error cause the same problems?

    Thanks everyone.

If the phones are powering off that would be an issue. Use a softphone and see if it loses registration.
