Officially, we don't support Siri for our iOS client - but due to the CallKit integration, the app itself can handle Siri commands. The only thing you have to do is to go to the device's Settings/3CX and enable Siri, then try something like "Siri, call 22444032 using 3CX".

As an additional note - or guide - about what to be aware of when using Siri to control 3CX client (this will also explain our reluctance to officially support Siri). Keep in mind that, bottom line, Siri only pass a pair name/number to the app.

    - highly not recommended to call 3-digits PBX extensions
It seems Siri consider calling a 3-digit number an emergency call, therefore it won't pass it to the app, instead it will call it using cellular phone. So, a command like "Call 999 using 3CX" as well as "Call 123 using 3CX" will be handled as emergency calls. However, seems that for other than 3 digits numbers (including 2 digits PBX extensions) it works properly.

    - unpredictable resolving of name ambiguity
Siri seems to be very bound to device's Contacts. Assuming you have there two contacts, say Dieter Kogel and Dieter Hoenes and you say "Call Dieter using 3CX", Siri will pass to 3CX the number of the first alphabetically match of Dieter, ie Dieter Hoenes. Unlike involving device's phone, when you say "Call Dieter" prompts Siri to ask you "Which Dieter, Dieter Hoenes or Dieter Kogel", in case of third-party apps it seems Siri doesn't provide this feature. Also, If you have Dieter Hoenes in device's Contacts only but Dieter Kogel in app's Contacts only, Siri will pass to the 3CX Dieter Hoenes' (device Contacts) number.

    - unable to call a contact's specific phone
Assuming a contact has multiple phones (say mobile, home, work, extension) we were unable to instruct Siri to properly deal with a command like "Call Dieter at work using 3CX" - Siri always pass the mobile number.

    - very limited amount of sentences/command learned
Siri allows an app to dynamically build sentences/commands to be learnt an executed. So, we were delighted when we successfully instructed Siri to properly call non-device-contacts as "Call Marios extension using 3CX" or "Call Marios at work using 3CX" or "Call Marios extension in Malta using 3CX" (where Malta was a PBX bridge). However, it did work only for about five-six such dynamically built commands; Apple says that if too many commands are passed to Siri to learn, only very first few will be considered, the rest being ignored. So, obviously, this is not suitable since a PBX have more than one-two extensions.

    So, bottom line, as recommendation:
The safest way to use Siri to make calls using 3CX client is a command like
    "Call <more_than_3_digits_number> using 3CX"
which, obviously and unfortunately, is not enough for a PBX-like environment.

Now Apple has opened Carplay to use more apps to be present. Will 3cx now consider to make the app also available via Carplay, just like Whatsapp and Zoom. Most of the above mentioned arguments are not valid anymore and I love to have 3cx as main communication tool in the car available

Great point UnDutchable! With the new iOS version and greater Carplay abilities would love to see 3CX support it fully!
