Is it possible to automatically log agents into the queue, without them having to enter *62?
Agents can log automatically into queues by using the status of the extensions. If you navigate to an extension and then to forwarding rules you will see the option Log out of queues. for example enable this setting for the away status but for for the available status.
So when an extension goes to away status this will log the extension out of the queues.
You can do this with office hours/break times as well. So when an extension goes into break times the status of that extension will be away and it will get logged out of the queues.
If you will use office hours/break times Auto switch must be enabled (under extension settings/forwarding rules) and keep in mind that break times set the extension to Away and out of office hours set the extension to DND
