Would like to know how much of bandwidth is used for per minute of call?

"The volume that is transferred per minute is 1.2 MB (uncompressed, G.711,) or 0.4 MB (compressed, G.729)."

    is this true?

The Norm uncompressed PCMU can take up to around 90kbps . a 64kbps payload with overhead.

There are many 'VoIP Bandwith Calculators' online which can detail the expense in bandwith.
