    Hi,

I want to know how much bandwidth a registered session use when is not been used for a call. I understand that depending on the codec it is the bandwidth but don't know how much it is used when there's no active call.

I want to know this because I'll be using some wireless links and want to be sure I'l have enough bandwidth.

Sorry if I'm asking something stupid.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Registered session doesn't take any bandwith unless you're in active call. There's only a small munber of registration refreshing messages are passed, and their number depends on registration refresh interval. If you make it 'once per hour' - it will take only about 2Kb per hour. Refresh interval is set at your SIP client settings.
