Hey everyone - here's a lesson from today - which should never have to be dealt with, after one of our client production systems got upgraded to BETA. Wanted to just drop a note in here. If you do ubuntu updates using command line, etc - and you do a apt-get update / apt-get dist-upgrade to update OS packages to the latest version for security reasons. If you are not paying attention - the 3cx 15.5 BETA will be upgraded as part of this standard process. Why we have pushed BETA to the production package repository I have not idea. To mark the 3cx system so it doesn't update on apt-get commands - issue the following command apt-mark hold 3cxpbx this will mark the 3cx package as "do not update". Now - to figure out how to unwind the BETA from this customer environment. What a waste of time.
