I've tested the issue of the stuck BLF and I'm searching for help:

Operator (210): Grandstream GXP-2000 with latest firmware from Grandstream (with earlier firmware the problem is the same)
Second internal extension (217): anyone (tested with Siemens C470IP, Grandstream vari, Snom 360, Thomson St2030, Yealink T20)
    Gateway: Patton SN4554 firmware 5.3 2009-01-15

Other phones: 5 phones (Grandstream, Snom, Thomson, Yealink) with a BLF key set to monitor (217)

Config: as 3CX indicates (reconfigured from scratch many times to avoid errors)

3CX ver. 8.0.9532.468 NFR on Windows 2008 Server dedicated to 3CX.

    Sequence:

1 - an extenal customer call in (queue with Ring ALL)
    2 - (210) pick up the call
3 - Hold the customer (HOLD key on GXP 2000)
4 - Call an internal extension (217) using the related BLF key
    5 - (217) respond to the call
6 - The external line is tranferred to (217) (using TRNF --> LINE1 on the GXP 2000)
7 - The operator (210) hang up his phone
8 - (217) and teh customer are talking and the BLF key monitoring (217) is showing BUSY correctly on all phones
    9 - (217) hangup the call
10 - All the phones (siano essi Snom, Yealink, Thomson o Grandstream) continuue to show the (217) BLF as BUSY, but in 3CX console and in 3CX Assistant it result as free and if I call it it will ring.

The log of the test is attached.

I am also having issues with stuck BLF in v8. Aastra 5xi. Operator transfers call but the BLF for her extension continues to flash as if it is ringing even if it is not. Rebooting phone does not help.

EDIT. A little more info. This extension is in a Ring group and is the only extension in that ring group. I have also enabled the custom parameter for ring groups to use phone status so all lines will ring.

Yeah, I also have this issue sometimes. But it is a minor issue compared with the other that, after few calls, leaves all my BLF stuck.

We can not reproduce this issue. If it is still actual, please, make a capture and set PBX to verbose logging mode, reproduce it, generate support info file and send it all to us.

    Hi there,

We have a similar issues here. We have Linksys 942 and 962 phones and since we have upgraded to the lastest version of 3cx server the BLF lights are either on red and no call is being made. Or flashing yellow lights on some of the phones.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

How do you configure them for BLF?

I have the same Problem with my snm 360. I used the default provisioning for the snom provided with the version 8. My snom firmware-version is the reccomanded 7.3.14 and then pbx has Version 8.0.9532.468. I get haunted by ths behavior since V8RC2.

This just happened again. Fortunately I was watching the Extensions console remotely at the time. What appeared to happen is a call came into the ring group. The receptionist answered it (she is the only one in the ring group) and another call into the ring group came in. She either put the first call on hold or it was in the middle of a transfer and answered the second line (have ALLOWBUSYOPTFORGROUP enabled). When she hung up the phone the blf for 'ringing' is still flashing even tho both calls have been either terminated or transfered.

    Sorry no Wireshark dump.

Solved with SNOM-Phones. Someone told me to deactiveate the "ReInvite"-Feature for my extensions in my 3CX-Phone. Because i had problems with the CallerID i reactivated the checkboxes (Supports Reinvite) and now the BLF's do what they should. .

    Hi.

On Grandstream GXP 2020 the following issue:

Call from one Extension (ex. 221) to Another (ex. 240). BLF on all configured Phones blink. Ok, so far.
Now, pickup the call from an Extension with *20* (default), listen, speak & hang up.
The BLF for the Extensions dont stop blinking. They are blinking and blinking.. an blinking.
Firmware is the latest stable. 3CX is the latest v8.

Wireshark capture isn't yet availible. The Error doesn't exist in latest v7 of 3CX.
Configuration wasn't imported from v7. Completly new to avoid errors.
OS: Windows Server 2003 32bit, latest Updates.

    Any ideas?

With the latest version (8.0.9908 11 November 2009) this issue seems to be away.

I'll monitor, but for the last three days it works ok.

Yes - this issue is fixed now.

Re- v 9908 : Remember to apply the backup patch before you make a backup.

    Read this:

Note: Use the latest firmware of the phones - it helps a lot.

    What version are you using?
Do you keep the phones on all the time? 24/7

What phones have this problem? What phones do you use after all?
