Call Assistant: Server Name vs. IP

    Here is an interesting one ...

    Ever since I have set up 3CX I had the call assistant running, connecting to the server via its IP. Yesterday, without any changes on the network the Call Assistant lost connection to the server and since this time will only connect using the host name of the server to connect, not the IP.

    At the same time the soft phone, I use for testing, will connect just fine using the very same IP.

    Any ideas.

    Using server name should be affect by DNS failure. During DNS server failure you will not able to access your server. Using IP will not be affect by DNS server failed.
