Solved Call by name, extension not found

    Using the call by name feature, I get an "extension not found" reply when I dial the the corresponding 3 digits for the users last name. I have tested this on several extensions, am I missing a setting somewhere?

    Hello @daveh82

    Please note that for the call by name feature to work you need to record a personal identification message for the extensions you need to enable this feature. You can do this by calling the voicemail service and select 9 for options. It should be option 5. once you record a personal identification message try again and see if that works

    Is there a way to do this through the web client in 15.5? I am creating documentation for new users and so far they can do everything through the web client. It would be a shame to make them dial into their voicemail for this one thing.

    For anyone else wondering, so you don't have to watch a 10min video.
    Every user must have a personal identification recording.
    The personal identification recording can only be set by dialing into the voicemail. There is no way to set it through the web client.
    This information is relevant for V15.5

    I would prefer if this was on by default for every extension with voicemail with an option to disable (by administrator only)
