Call control with intercoms

    In our application, we would like to direct calls made from the intercom in realtime (and vice-versa) so that everytime someone pushes the call button on the intercom we will be able to dynamically direct the call to certain extensions. So far the only solution I can think of is to use the Call Control API to monitor the calls and direct the calls from intercom to the extension I want. Although the Call Control API seems fairly involved and I was wondering if there is an alternate solution to implement this? I would appreciate any suggestions or comments.
