Call controll from a webside - Possible?

    It would be amazing to use a call controll feature from a webside. like a link that say
    http(s)://www.sample.org/call.php?target=+4912345678;ext=101;pass=secret
    to initiate a call from a webbased phonelist. or xml service or simmilar. sorry for my english i am from germany. We want to integrate the 3CX into our Portal CMS / CRM System.

    Hi,

    I believe its possible to do this, although we dont have sample code.

    It might be that some VOIP providers provide this sample code or have functionality to allow you to do this. It would require special support because the password would have to be encrypted and for security reasons it would have to be locked down to your number only, i.e they could only dial your sales number, no other numbers... So i think that using a VOIP provider that allows this functionality might be better then using your own IP PBX?

    Yes the security is a little problem but only if that is in open Internetpages.

    But it is possible to start a server request to initiated call with the phone numbers and the password because no one can read it if the webserver call it after a user pushed the button or link.

    server gives button to user then user push button and the serve generate request to the 3cx server for initiate the call - this way there is no security problem - we would like to work together to realize that.

    it is also possible top generate telefone list that contains links for call initiation that are only valid for a short period (example 60 seconds) to prevent to ad this links to favorits or to save them in other way.

    yes some providers provide a callme button but we want to implement the telefone and adressmanagement into the CMS - and for this us it is better to make a module that works with a ip pbx. we can do that also by a module that comunicate with the sip standart then we can do that with all providers but we want to integrate the call management in a first step and as some future steps the account creation and billing (or to put a relation between calls and orders or budgets) in this case it is better to work with an ip pbx specialist and there is only one that say small is free and if the customers grow we want to participate "yes this is 3CX" ;) ) we do the same way ;)

    Hi,

    So if I understand right you want the webpage to trigger a phone call from the phone system to the customer? From a particular extension or list of extensions.

    We are working on something that will make this very easy to do. The interface will be used for status information but will allow certain functions to be triggered. And it will all be web based, i.e it can be triggered from web applications. I will be able to tell you more about it in January?

    What you would have to have configurable in your software is which extension number should perform the call back and the times that you would allow the call backs.

    If you can wait until say January February it will be much easier for you to do.

    I hope we can integrate it with your CMS system - we are very keen to establish such cooperations :)
