Hi all,

Quick question, in the new version when an extension is set to record all Call, when the call is completed the recording icon in the softphone is active showing that the call is being recorded.

Moving forward, when the user turn it off, the server stops recording?

Second question, why this was changed from the previous versions where there was no indication to the user that the call was recorded?

When a user turns the button off then the server will stop recording

why this was changed from the previous versions where there was no indication to the user that the call was recorded?

The recording button is now visible to alert the user that the call is being recorded so that the user can Pause/Stop the recording for PCI compliance reasons as the caller might want to provide sensitive information that should not be recorded like Credit card info etc.

Again you providing very accurate information. I am aware of PCi industry standards, however, on the other hand, a lot of different companies, not subjected to it, are required to have full recordings of all their calls.

Is there anything on the roadmap to maybe configure each extension or a general system tune that will allow the admins to avoid users from stop recording?

I am not sure if there is anything on the roadmap regarding this, there is however a thread in the Ideas section you can upvote so this can be implemented.
