Caller ID Not Being Passed

    I have been using Broadvoice, but recognizing they are not going to pass through caller id from 3CX, I set up an account with junction networks, who does allow pass through caller ID.

    The issue seems to be 3cx is not passing the caller ID?

    Anyone have the same issue? I see several topics and no solutions did I miss the magic post?

    Hi,

    In this case we cannot pass the caller ID. The only place to do this ('From' header of INVITE) is used by Broadvice (and other VoIP provider) to determine source of the call. And we should pass an account ID in this field. This means, we cannot place caller ID over there. You may ask Broadvoice at which field they are expecting to have Caller-ID, and if they have such solution - we can implement this later on.

    Is this the same for all providers? I have setup and registered three different provider Voip lines. caller ID does not work for any of them.

    As far as I know - yes. Probably some allows caller ID in recently introduced 'Remote-Party-ID' header, but it isn't widespread yet.
