Caller ID when forwarding from 3cx cloud forwarding rule

    Hello,

    I have a 3cx cloud system and have an issue where the forwarding rule is set to forward calls to mobile after 12 seconds. The issue is that when the call gets forwarded to mobile, the caller ID is the trunk CLI. We need this to be the calling party phone number and not the trunk number.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    You must use either 'originator's caller id' in outbound settings of your trunk for 'From' and 'Contact' user part fields, if provider supports this or eventually 'Call deflection' method for forwarding to external destinations in 'Away' and 'DND' profiles for that extension, if provider supports it. Some providers may not support either methods.

    what sip.bg mentioned is correct however i would recommend contacting the provider before changing anything and ask them if the support the functionality and if they do which SIP field they want the info presented. Changing outbound parameters could result in calls failing. We strongly recommend using a supported provider which is tested and templates include these settings.
