Can i use the VAD for following scenario?

    Hello, I have following problem. In Brazil you do not know which telecoms provider is behind a number. After Brazil allowed to take your number to an other providers, nobody knows anymore which number are which provider.

    There exist database on a call by call level.

    Can I use the VAD to program the following scenario?

    The user calls a mobile number xx-xxxx xxxx

    3CX make contact to a online database via my internet connection and send the number xx-xxxx xxxx

    The Database answered with the ID of the provider, like ID-xx-xxxx xxxx

    With the ID I send the call about an OUTBOUND RULE to the right gateway .

    The online database provider offers following scenario:

    Telein.ConsultaNumero com Elastix / Trixbox

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via URL

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via WEB Service

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via Procedure MySQL

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via Post

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via Asterisk AGI

    Telein.ConsultaNumero via Interface WEB

    Can I use the VAD to solve my problem??

    Hello Frank,

    The VAD only works with inbound calls, you can't make that processing with it for outbound calls.

    So, something you could do is instead of directly dialing the outbound number is the following:
    1) Instead of making the outbound call directly, users could dial the VAD callflow extension.
    2) The VAD app requests that you enter the destination number using DTMF.
    3) The VAD queries the database and get the right prefix to select the desired outbound rute.
    4) The VAD transfers the call to the outbound number.
