    Hey guys,

For some reason, it seems that when someone calls me, they can hear me fine, but i can't hear them. I have put my self in the 'DMZ' zone of the network to ensure im not behind NAT or such, i have no firewall enabled whilst testing this, and i'm using X-Lite currently.

My settings for X-Lite are as per the intructions here: http://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/x-lite.html

Also this is running from a server in a datacenter, so basically on the internet. Just something to note also; the following is disaplayed when doing a firewall test.

    Code:
1 Error (13) The machine is on a public IP. Please check the FAQ for more information. agentAddr = 87.230.29.162:4200
I Hope its just a warning, but unsure.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Cheers
    Billy

The message you got "The machine is on a Public IP" is mainly a warning so you are notified about it. If that is how you want the setup, you can ignore it.

Is the Phone installed on the same machine as the 3CX machine, or was it installed on the internal network? Please do try from the same machine to ensure you don't have some firewall between the server and the phone that might cause the issue.

The call you are getting when you encounter the issue, is it coming from a Voip provider, PSTN gateway or does it happen on an internal call (extension to extension). Does a call from extension to extension have the same issue?

If from a voip provider/PSTN can you give us the details of the VOIP provider /PSTN device you are using?

You mentioned that the issue happens when they call you. Does it happens if you call them?

    regards
