Cannot Intercom Through CTI

    We have recently moved from 3CX v11 to v12 and the intercom function no longer works when performed through CTI on the desktop client (by right clicking an extension and selecting intercom). I can see that it correctly attempts to dial **EXT, but it does not seem to actually make it to the desk phone. Other CTI functionality is working correctly, such as making calls or sending voicemails, it is only the intercom function that does not work.

    The intercom function works just fine, however, if we simply dial **EXT on the physical keypad of the phone.

    Has anyone heard of this issue? We have Grandstream, Yealink and Polycom phones. We were able to use CTI to intercom on all of these phones with v11. With v12, the CTI intercom function does not work anywhere, though it does work if it is dialed on the actual hard-phone.

    Hi Brian,

    Ensure that the extensions have the right to Intercom under Extension properties--> Rights Tab. Note that Grandstream and Intercom Via CTI will not work because Grandstream will not recognize the * value.
